| João Bosco Pesquero is professor at one of the most prestigious biomedical institutes of Brazil, the Escola Paulista de Medicina in São Paulo and belongs to the leading molecular biologists of his country. A large part of his career he spend in Germany where he started his cutting-edge research on the system including the cloning of receptor genes and the generation of knockout animal models. His work allowed novel insights in the functional role of the kallikrein-kinin system and laid the basis for innovative therapeutic approaches. |
